Samsung Pay headed to China in March as global rollout continues

Samsung has announced that its Samsung Pay mobile payments platform will launch in China in March. Following a China launch, Samsung says that its mobile payments service will land in Australia, Brazil, Singapore, Spain and the UK later in 2016, although no set dates were given. However, the Samsung does have some good news for those in the great white north, as it has officially added Canada to the Samsung Pay launch roadmap as well.

In addition to an update on its global launch plans, the company says that five million registered Samsung Pay users across South Korea and the U.S. have processed over 500 million dollars in transactions thus far. It's likely Samsung will see those numbers net a decent boost in March once Samsung Pay makes its official entry into the massive Chinese market.
