Put some love on your screen this Wallpaper Wednesday

Don't let your home screen fall into a rut — switch out your wallpaper!

You don't have to pull out a complex new theme like Deadpool to bring a breath of fresh air to your home screen. A new wallpaper can do wonders, just ask your iPhone-carrying friends. Launchers like Action Launcher can re-theme your entire launcher around a good wallpaper. In our effort to help brighten your device — and maybe your day — we're compiling some wallpapers for you to try out.

If you've got a wallpaper you use everywhere, share it in the comments below! We're always looking for something new. Now, hit the break and get your wallpaper picker ready.

Valentine's Day from Disney Style

Valentine's Day is this week, and no one does Valentine's Day quite like Disney. The Disney Style blog has conjured up not one but five lovely wallpapers ready to grace your phone. From Tangled's Floating Lanterns to a love-struck Ariel, there's a wallpaper here for every kind of romance. To make a simple theme with these wallpapers, pair it with Whicons, Golden Icons, or Retro Icons

Sunset Rose

This may be one of the better pictures I've ever taken. Snapped alongside the rose path at Epcot, this yellow rose has the perfect kiss of sun on it. Yellow roses are a symbol of friendship, not romance, so this wallpaper can give your phone a festive air without being lovey-dovey. While this wallpaper is quite flexible when it comes to icon packs, Glim is what I've used with it

Vatican Ceiling by Trey Ratliff

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. For a lot of people, it means now begins the torturous weeks of giving up soda, or beer, or any other number of vices as an act of penance. If you think you're going to need to keep a reminder handy so you don't fall off the wagon, consider this breathtaking picture of a ceiling inside the Vatican by renowned photographer Trey Ratliff. If that name sounds familiar, you've probably seen it on your Chromecast, many of his photos have been featured on the Chromecast Backdrop. Once again Golden Icons and Whicons would pair well with this extravagant wallpaper.

DSC Nightwing by LeonardoEnrique

Batman: Bad Blood came out last week, and while Batman does indeed play a role, Nightwing spends more time in a cape and cowl than Bruce Wayne. While my tastes in superheroes may be a bit off, even I cannot resist the allure of the high-flying hero with his ridiculously good hair. Nightwing doesn't get a fraction of the theming love his mentor does, but on occasion, Nightwing can fit quite well on a home screen. Whicons give this wallpaper another pop of light against the dark facade, and help bring out the piercing eyes on Nightwing's mask.

Vector Vader by Virginia Poltrack

Virginia Poltrack is an artist with several awesome watch faces and a nerdy gallery that inspires awe, and this wallpaper of Darth Vader is dark, simple, and timeless. If you're going through withdrawals now that the Force Awakens is about to leave theaters, here's that shot in the severed arm. This is another icon pack that plays well with a variety of icon packs, but METAL, Whicons, and Noctum play especially well with the theme depending on your tastes.
