Latest Google Forms update makes it faster than ever to gather insight

Google has announced a number of new features for Google Forms that will make using the platform that much more insightful. We're looking at using templates from the Forms home screen, email notifications on form submission, as well as new add-ons and Google Apps Script support.

For those who are not familiar with the app, Google Forms is a handy way to gather information from a group of people, whether it be an invitation, survey or simply a method of providing feedback. Here's what is new in the latest version of Google Forms:

  • Use Templates from the Google Forms home screen: Use the templates now available on the Forms home screen to jumpstart your Form creation. We currently offer templates for customer feedback, event sign-ups, quizzes, and more.
  • Email notifications on Form submit: You can now get real-time email notifications when someone responds to your form.
  • View individual responses from the Forms editor: In addition to the summary of responses currently available in the Forms editor, you can now see individual survey responses as well. This will save you valuable time when analyzing your Forms. You can also print or delete individual responses from this screen.
  • Track responses to your form: Now, if you are a Google Apps for Work or Education user, you can get a quick overview of who has responded to your form and who you are still waiting for responses from in the summary of responses. Use the "Send reminder email" feature to remind just those who haven't already responded to your form.
  • Form Add-ons and Google Apps Scripts now supported: You can now use add-ons and edit scripts in the new Forms editor. Popular tools like Form Publisher, Choice Eliminator, and g(Math) for Forms help creators extend the capabilities of Google Forms.

Overall, some pretty neat additions we're sure those who rely on the platform will appreciate.
